About Me

Hey y'all! My name is Shelby Jones and I am from a small town outside of Birmingham, Alabama. I've been married to the love of my life, Wesley, since 2016, and we currently have one beautiful daughter! She really is the reason why I started HJP.

I began photography after the birth of our daughter in 2019. I wanted to be able to capture moments that I could keep for a lifetime, and photography gave me that ability. What started as a love for taking pictures of her grew into Hunter Jane Photography! My first client was one of my best friends maternity pictures in the early spring of 2020, and I knew I loved it as soon as I finished that session.

When I was in high school, I had a digital camera that I would use, but I never took the time to pursue it more. My husband bought me my first "mom" camera for Christmas in 2019, a Canon Rebel, and I taught myself with the help of some precious friends!

I've met some amazing photographers that have become even better friends, and I am so thankful to have them and my family as support for this dream.
